No, serious question, is Panera kidding me with this nonsense?
Does a dollar off of a bowl of soup motivate anybody to consciously choose Panera? Especially somebody who hasn’t been there in a while? I mean for Christ’s sake, the photo that accompanies this email looks like it was taken with an old cell phone. The marketing department clearly has lost the will to compete for customers in the crowded Fast Casual segment… Chipotle has literally poisoned people and I’m still more enthused about spending my money there after seeing this kind of email ploy.
